Well, I have received several comments on the poetic and rather distant nature of my writing. Don’t take it to heart but I seem to be unable to exercise any alternative. Furthermore, the ever-present pervasiveness of the Gunning-fog index is constantly lingering at the back of my mind, ready to pounce should I ever stray down the path of colloquialism. Nevertheless, writing like a politician drunk on hyperbole is bound to drag the detriment that is my GP grade up, and any boost to my academic prospects is a definite plus. Sorry if I seem like a self-centred, materialistic academic a.k.a. a mugger, I try my utmost not to be one!
